With new viruses coming out every month, you need to regularly update your antivirus software's virus definitions. Follow the instructions below. If you need additional help, please contact the IT Services Help Desk at (414) 288-7799.

Windows Instructions

  1. Launch the VirusScan console. (Click on the Start Menu, navigate to Applications, then to Network Associates, then VirusScan Console.)
  2. Double-click on "AutoUpdate."
  3. Click the button labeled "Run Now."

Mac OS X Instructions

  1. Launch Virex. (Click on the Finder icon in the Dock, click Applications, then double-click Virex)
  2. Click the 'eUpdate' icon in the upper right-hand corner.
