I don't know my username or password for CheckMarq.
The username and password for CheckMarq is identical to your eMarq e-mail username and password. If you forgot your password, visit the Password Reset site at https://reset.mu.edu/. If you do not know your username, please contact the IT Services Help Desk at (414) 288-7799 to have this information verified.
How can I protect my personal information in CheckMarq/eMarq?
Be sure to logout and close out of all open browser session windows when you are done working in CheckMarq Portal, eMarq e-mail or any other web-based e-mail. Also, please do not share your password with others.
When are planned outages scheduled?
Some CheckMarq services may be unavailable during planned maintenance times. On Mondays from 12:30 a.m. to 3:00 a.m., most CheckMarq services are unavailable while the student administration database is backed up (except when Monday grading deadlines apply). Occasionally, IT Services will use other maintenance outages in the late hours of the weekend, as announced in an IT Alert via email and on the IT Alerts page.
I keep getting an error message that says "CHECKMARQ ERROR. Please try to login again."
Quit your web browser then launch the browser again. Please go to https://checkmarq.mu.edu/ and login.
I can login to CheckMarq but I don't see the student self-service or instructor self-service tab.
You must be a student, an instructor or an advisor in order to have the tab in your portal. If you are a student, instructor or advisor and still do not see this tab, please call the IT Services Help Desk at (414) 288-7799.

Can I get on a wait list for classes?
CheckMarq does not currently offer a wait list for classes.
I get an error message that says that the language I have selected is not enabled for use with this database. What do I do?
English needs to be listed as the primary language in your Web browser. In Internet Explorer for Windows, go to Tools > Internet Options. Internet Options window appears. Click the "Languages" button at the bottom of the Internet Options window. Language Preferences window appears. Select "English - United States" and click the Move Up button until it is the first item. Click OK to close the Language Preferences window. Click OK to close the Internet Options window. Close Internet Explorer and relaunch to remedy the problem.
