Follow the steps below to configure Entourage 2008. If you have any problems, please contact the Help Desk.
- Launch Entourage
If you are launching or setting up Entourage for the first time, the Entourage Setup Assistant will open. If the Entourage Setup Assistant does not appear, click on Tools > Accounts and then on the New button.
Click the right arrow to continue.
- In the Set Up a Mail Account window , enter your E-mail address. The format of your E-mail address is firstname.lastname@marquette.edu. (Be sure to completely spell “Marquette” in your email address) Select My account is on an Exchange server and then click the right arrow to continue.
- In the Account Information window, enter the Domain (marqnet), Account ID (your Checkmarq username) and your password. Check to save the password if you do not want to be prompted to enter a password each time Entourage launches. Click OK to continue.
- The next window that appears confirms that the Automatic Configuration of Entourage succeeded. It will list your mail account. Click the right arrow to continue.
- The Verify Settings window will open and you can check that your information has been entered correctly. It will appear similar to the image below. (If you wish, you may change Your name: to list first name and then last name instead of the default.) Change the name of the LDAP server to "adauth.marquette.edu". Click the right arrow to continue.
- You can click Verify My Settings on the next window that opens to check network connections, and the results will show after a short time. Click the right arrow to continue.
- When the Setup Complete window appears, enter eMarq for the Account Name, then click Finish.
