SUPPORTED E-MAIL CLIENTS (TOP)
IT Services has standardized on Outlook for Windows and Entourage for Macs as supported e-mail clients. Users may opt to use other e-mail clients; however, support will be limited.
To achieve full functionality with the upgrade to Exchange 2007 and Unified Communications this fall, IT Services highly encourages everyone to use Outlook 2007 or Entourage. Please contact the Help Desk to arrange for installation or upgrade to Office 2007.
SETTINGS FOR OTHER E-MAIL CLIENTS (TOP)
- IMAP/POP users will still be able to use emarq.marquette.edu as the IMAP/POP server.
- SMTP users will need to use smtp.marquette.edu as the SMTP server.
- Users also need to check the 'use SSL option' for both IMAP/POP and SMTP.
- Authentication should already be checked for SMTP - that has not changed.
