I use Office 2007 and other users who do not have Office 2007 or Mac Office 2008 installed cannot read my Office 2007 files

The newest version of Microsoft Office automatically saves in a new Microsoft XML format that cannot be read by previous versions of Office. To avoid this problem, save down — that is, save as an earlier version so that people using older versions of Office can open the file.
