Phones Available through US Cellular
- Voice Phone
US Cellular offers some digital phones for a penny per our contract with them. Currently the models that are available for a penny are: Kyocera K312, LG UX245, LG 145, Motorola 385, Nokia 2125, and Samsung U340. Other models are available at a discounted price. To see these models click here.
- SmartPhone (voice and data phone)
We recommend the Motorola Q or the PPC6800. We are moving away from the BlackBerry phones due to the expense of the data plan and the fact that it requires an external server. The data plan on these phones is $24.95 and then you receive a $10 discount off of your voice plan.
Calling Plans Available
- Corporate Plan is $8.00 per month per access line, plus $.09 per minute. This plan is good for low minute users (less than 250 minutes).
- Wide Area Plan. This plan is recommend for users that rarely travel outside of their local area. The higher minute plan does include 30 minutes a month for roaming
- National Plan. This plan is recommend for users that travel outside of the local area.
NOTE:
While traveling outside of a US Cellular Market , the roaming rate is either $.49 or $.25 per minute depending upon the calling plan that you are on.

Ordering a Cellular Service Plan, Cellular Phone and/or Accessories for University Work Use
After you have received approval from your area, please contact the IT Services Help Desk at (414) 288-7799 or helpdesk@marquette.edu to put in your request. Provide them the Name of the user, Account Number, Model of Phone, and Calling Plan required. Also, if you require any additional accessories.
Car chargers are not included with the phone and would need to be ordered separately.
