Presidential Search

A message from alumnus and Chair of the Presidential Search Committee, John F. Ferraro

Dear fellow alumni,

I’m pleased to share with you that last week, the Board of Trustees unanimously approved a robust Presidential Position Description that takes into account the feedback provided in-person and online by more than 1,100 members of the Marquette community, including more than 600 alumni. On behalf of the Presidential Search Committee, I want to thank you for your overwhelming support and feedback throughout this process.

The Presidential Position Description that will be used to recruit the 24th president of Marquette University includes a section on key opportunities and challenges for the next president, which provides context on the current landscape of higher education as well as major university initiatives. National executive search firm Witt/Kieffer is currently recruiting candidates, and we need your help to ensure we have the strongest candidate pool possible. Please nominate a qualified presidential candidate by emailing MarquettePresident@wittkieffer.com. All nominations are confidential.

This holiday season and always, I feel blessed to be part of the most engaged and vibrant alumni group in the country. Thank you again for participating in this important process.

Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
