Peggy Troy, Nurs ’74, was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2011.
Peggy has served as president and CEO of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin since January 2009. Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is the region’s only independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children.
Prior to joining Children’s Hospital, Peggy served as the executive vice president and COO of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and president and CEO of Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center, both in Memphis, and president of Cook Children’s Medical Center in Ft. Worth.
Peggy is a member of the Greater Milwaukee Committee and serves on the boards of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce, BloodCenter of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Hospital Association and Teach for America. She is currently the board chair for the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center and has previously chaired in 2012 and 2015. She served as co-chair of the 2012 United Way of Greater Milwaukee campaign and now serves as co-chair for the health care division of United Way campaigns.
Peggy sits on a national board of the Children’s Hospital Association where she served as chair in 2015. She is regularly invited to Washington, D.C., to meet with public and elected officials regarding pediatric health care policy.
Peggy earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Marquette University in 1974 and a master’s in nursing from DePaul University in Chicago. While attending Marquette, she served as a nurse intern at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Peggy and her husband, Ron, have two daughters. Peggy is a member of the Marquette University President's Society.
