Position:  Digital Media Studio Assistant


  • Provide patron assistance with equipment and software in the Digital Media Studio
  • Provide Media consultations for students working on digital projects
  • Assist students one-on-one and in small groups with various software packages (e.g. iMovie, Quicktime Pro, Final Cut Pro X, LaTeX, etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of online training materials

Position Description

Digital Media Studio (DMS) Assistants provide instruction and guidance for full end-to-end support of Library users seeking to integrate sound and video formats into class assignments, projects, and creative works. DMS Assistants will provide exceptional customer service and support to library users with multi-media needs, develop and lead technology training sessions, and create training materials and documents to enable user self-sufficiency.


  • Familiarity with multimedia software
  • Experience in multimedia design, production, and presentation development
  • Ability to learn and expand technology skills
  • Commitment to patron service and support
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
