History: Founded in Ireland in 1775, the Sisters of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary made their first U.S. foundation in Iowa in 1874. Since 1997, a sister of the congregation has served as pastoral coordinator at Our Lady of the Sioux Church (Oglala), Oglala, Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota.
