History: St. Joseph’s has been a presominantly non-Native American parish administered by diocesan priests except for Glenmary Home Missioners (Cincinnati, Ohio), 1980s-1990s. Diocesan and Glenmary priests from St. Joseph’s have attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission (Cherokee, Maya), Cherokee Reservation, Cherokee, North Carolina, 1970s-present.
