History: Founded in Italy, 1782, the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer or Redemptorists, made their first U.S. foundation, 1832, which became the Baltimore Province, 1850. The Baltimore Province Redemptorists administered the following parishes among Native Americans:

1832-1838

St. John the Evangelist Church (Menominee) Green Bay, Wisconsin; with Dominicans 

1833-1839

St. Peter Church/ Holy Childhood of Jesus Church (Ottawa) Harbor Springs, Michigan

1834-1838

Holy Name of Mary Church (Ojibwa), Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan
