Raynor Memorial Libraries' Department of Special Collections and Archives will host a fall program for archivists at North American Jesuit colleges, universities, and provincial archives. The September 28-29 meeting will address the preservation of electronic records at Jesuit institutions.  Geoffrey Huth of the New York State Archives will present a full-day workshop on the management of electronic records. Certified archivists in attendance will earn five Archival Recertification Credits. During the second day of program participants will consider the formation a digital consortium featuring documentary sources about Jesuit scholarship and history. A steering committee for the program is currently developing guidelines for digital content, technical standards, copyright & permissions, and financial support.  Steering committee members include Matt Blessing and Michelle Sweetser (Marquette), Lynn Conway (Georgetown), Anne McMahon (Santa Clara), Lois Hamill and Mark Savolis (Holy Cross), John Waide (St. Louis), and Kathy Young (Loyola-Chicago).   More information about the program is available online.
