Series 2 Vice President for the Office of Student Affairs, 1956-1963, 1970-ongoing
Administrative History:   The position of Vice President for Student Affairs was created in 1956. Following the resignation of Rev. Floyd D. Stanton, S.J., in 1963, the position was reorganized as Dean of Students. In 1970, the position was again reorganized as Vice President for Student Affairs, and then-Dean of Students James H. Scott was appointed to the position. The position involves almost all aspects of student life outside the classroom, including Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports, Residence Life, Student Health Service, and Student Development.
