| Administrative History: The
position of Senior Vice President was created subsequent to the discontinuation of the
Office of the Executive Vice President in August 2002. The Senior Vice President oversees
the administrative side of the university, and works with the Provost as the two senior
advisors to the University President. Responsibilities in the Senior
Vice President's purview are Administration, Finance, General Counsel,
Public Affairs, Student Affairs, and University Advancement. In August
2005, reorganization within the Office of Public Affairs led to the creation
of an Office of Marketing and Communication, which reports to the Senior
Vice President. The Office of Marketing and Communication has
responsibility for the university's marketing, including advertising,
publications and web pages; internal communication, and Marquette
Magazine.
