1950s: " ... [I] always saw statues around at
school ... and they were just, like part of the furniture. But I remember hearing Kateri's
name from the older girls that were there in school ... I don't remember if there was a
Kateri group or-- I don't think so. Later, I remember looking back at the annuals and
seeing ... that her statue was right there all the time."
