| "She's with, us with our
struggles, with our whole being, she's just with us. Despite what we say by ourselves and
how we look at ourselves, she's always there ... Some people will still look at her
like...this 20 year old, this young girl. Maybe she's coming of age because we`re looking
at her more like our true mother ... I think Kateri Tekakwitha has a place for us even in
our present world...When [our niece] was really small ... we took her to the Conference
and she fell in love with Kateri Tekakwitha. I look at her life today and I'm sure that
she`s in good hands. She's struggled and she's went through a lot of obstacles herself.
But I`m sure that Kateri is continually with her."
