Kateri Tekakwitha in a Laguna Home, New Mexico

In a Laguna Home.

" ... I think the most impressive thing that ever happened was when my son got hit by a [truck with a] semi [trailer] ... While he was in there for months, within the next week we had over 500 people come in and encourage us and tell us they're praying for us ... And it was during this time ... my mother had already made plans to go to Phoenix for the Tekakwitha Conference ... And I said,'... Mom ... I think you`re doing more good down at the Tekakwitha Conference. Ask Kateri to help, help us ... Ask them [the attendees] to ask Kateri to intercede.` ... She said, `I'm going to offer this to Kateri ... And it was during the Conference that we found out that he ... actually responded. He opened his eyes ... we said ...`Grandma's ... in Phoenix praying for you ...she's praying to Kateri to help you up.`... And she bought him a t-shirt, Kateri at the front ... And he put the t-shirt on. And he said, ` Grandma ... bought [this] t-shirt.?` `Yes, you know who that is?` `She [Kateri] made me well.`... Ever since after that ... he really improved ... In fact ... he went back to school four months later. And the doctors couldn't believe it."
