The resources supporting Education, Counseling and Educational Psychology, and Educational Policy and Leadership Studies are located principally in the Memorial Library, which contains over 800,000 volumes of books, bound journals, and microforms relating to the Humanities and Social Sciences. Students focusing on psychological and psychiatric aspects of education will find the collections at the Science Library useful. Students focusing on legal issues may find the collections available to them at Marquette's Law Library essential to their research. The Libraries collection in the area of education is multidisciplinary and extensive. Thousands of titles can be found under the subject heading Education and its various subheadings. Thousands more can be found under specific subject areas with the subheading "Study and Teaching". For example, Science - Study and Teaching. Additionally, many titles of use to researchers in education can be found under the subject headings educational psychology, counseling, etc. Areas of special collection concentration include: administration and supervision; curriculum and instruction; educational psychology; counseling; foundations of education; reading; mathematics education; and theories and practices of mainstreaming special education students. Additional support for academic research in Education can be found through the Education Resource Center located in the Schroeder Complex. Research ResourcesAccess to library materials is via MARQCAT, the Marquette University Libraries catalog, covering all three campus libraries with dial-up access 24-hours daily. Access to MARQCAT, as well as to other library catalogs, is available via the Libraries' homepage found at http://www.marquette.edu/library. A collection of Internet sites arranged by subject is also available. Computers for browsing the Internet are available in the Libraries, and any campus computer connected to MarquetteNet also has access to these resources. Marquette participates in the Federal Depository program, acquiring a wide variety of state and federal documents which assist research. The Library maintains current subscriptions to almost 300 periodicals within the education disciplines and subscribes to many periodicals within the psychology discipline which are relevant to educational researchers.
