American Council of Learned Societies Humanities E-Book
Project
The Humanities E-Book Project of the American Council of Learned Societies creates digital copies of
works that are “all especially valuable, time-tested books, regularly consulted by scholars
and advanced students.” The selected works cover most time periods for the United States,
Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. The project plans to expand its global coverage as well
as increase its collection of digitized works. A small set of “Frontlist” works contains
recent monographs with supporting primary sources and reviews. All these books can be searched by
key word; printing is possible a page at a time. These digitized books are also cataloged
individually in MARQCAT.
