Most are new to campus, while several represent a change of format or significant enhancement, such as dates of coverage. Dictionary of Philosophy
This e-book form of the important reference work from Oxford University Press (paper copy
remains in the Reference Collection at REF.B41 .B53 1994) contains more than 2,100 entries from
hundreds of highly distinguished contributors representing the world's top universities and
institutions. Among the many topics covered are African, Islamic, Jewish, Russian, Chinese,
and Buddhist philosophies; bioethics and biomedical ethics; art and aesthetics; epistemology;
metaphysics; peace and war; social and political philosophy; the Holocaust; feminist thought; and
much more. Also included are 1,000 biographical entries on major figures in philosophical
thought throughout history. |
New Testament Abstracts The database features indexing and abstracts for journal articles, monographs, multi-author works, and software related to New Testament studies. The content of over 500 journals is included with all abstracts in English, regardless of the language of the original work. In addition, approximately 800 current books regarding New Testament studies are summarized annually. New Testament Abstracts is a product of a partnership between American Theological Library Association and the Weston Jesuit School of Theology. Nursing and Allied Health Collection The Nursing & Allied Health Collection is a resource for nursing and allied health professionals, students, educators and researchers. The database contains nearly 100 full text journals, including more than 80 peer-reviewed titles covering the areas of nursing, biomedicine, health sciences, consumer health and allied health disciplines. Professional Development Collection (Education) The Professional Development Collection provides a collection of more than 550 education journals, including more than 350 peer-reviewed titles. This database also contains more than 200 educational reports. Examples of titles offered include: Booklist, Curriculum Administrator, Education, Education Digest, Educational Leadership, High School Journal, Journal of Education, Journal of Educational Research, Journal of Learning Disabilities, Phi Delta Kappan, Reading Teacher, School Library Journal, and many others. |
