Record yourself introducing a banned or challenged book of your choice. You may say something about the book or author, you may address a specific challenge against the book, you may say why the book is meaningful to you, etc. Then read an excerpt from the book.
When uploading your video to YouTube update the Title, Description, and Tag fields with the following information:
Title The title of your video should include "Marquette University Banned Books Week Virtual Read-Out." A good example is "A reading from The Perks of Being a Wallflower for the Marquette University Banned Books Week Virtual Read-out" or "Marquette University Banned Books Week Virtual Read-Out: A reading from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
Description Use the description to explain why the book you chose to read an excerpt from is your favorite banned/challenged book.
Tag The most important part of the download is the tag. Please tag your video with "MUvirtualreadout" to help ensure that the video will be featured on the Marquette University Banned Books Week website.
Your video may be included on the Marquette University Banned Books Week website as well as Raynor Memorial Libraries Facebook Fan Page.
