Subject: Art, English/Language Arts, State (Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico,
South Dakota, Utah, and Wisconsin) and United States History and Social Studies with
Navajo emphasis.

Objectives: Teach concepts and skills relating to citizenship, economics,
geography, and history
The materials cover numerous topics
with several reading levels to accommodate differing abilities within the same class.
Included are Navajo-related activities and various pictures on Native Americans of
the United States, which are to be used independent of each other. A bibliography is
also included.
The pictures feature important scenes
on Native American history and events in the United States. They are grouped in three
geographic categories: General (all-United States), Eastern, and Western, with
thumbnails and captions. For each entry, the top lines include subject, tribe, state,
and date, plus photographer and source, if known. Detailed information follows by
reading level.
