September 2011—The Libraries' Department of Special Collections announces a new series of introductory sessions for two of the department's most popular holdings. Open to all members of the campus community, the fall semester sessions will begin Sept. 30 and run through Nov. 18. The sessions will take place on Fridays and alternate topics as follows:

September 30, 3:00 p.m., J.R.R. Tolkien manuscripts

October 7, 3:00 p.m., Saint John's Bible

October 14, 4:00 p.m., J.R.R. Tolkien manuscripts

October 21, MID-SEMESTER BREAK

October 28, 11:30 a.m., Saint John's Bible

November 4, 11:30 a.m., J.R.R. Tolkien manuscripts

November 11, 12:30 p.m., Saint John's Bible

November 18 12:30 p.m., J.R.R. Tolkien manuscripts

All presentations will be in the Prucha Archives Reading Room (3rd floor, Raynor Library) and will run 45 minutes. No reservations are necessary. Please address any questions to Bill Fliss, Archivist by e-mail or phone (288-5906).
