MARQCAT planned downtime August 7
There will be no access to MARQCAT, the online library system for Raynor Memorial Libraries and Eckstein Law Library, Tuesday, August 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., as a system upgrade is completed.
The temporary outage of the Libraries' online catalog will have minimal impact on library services. Below are answers to a number of frequently asked questions. How will I search for books available in the library?
Can I still check out books from the library?
Yes, books can be checked out at the circulation desk as usual. For assistance, contact the Circulation Desk at Raynor Memorial Libraries (414) 288-7555
or Eckstein Law Library (414)288-7092.
Will I be able to place holds or renew books online during the outage?
No. During the outage, using the catalog to place holds or renew books will not be possible.
Can I search for journal articles?
Yes. Library databases will be available for searching from on campus. For a list of library databases, go to the A-Z Database List. During this outage, the link from
databases will not work.
Can I use databases from off campus?
Yes, if you connect through the VPN. During this outage, the link from databases
will not work.
What if I have a citation for a specific electronic article that I'm looking for?

Can I access class reserves through Ares?
Yes, you can access your Ares account, but access to some electronic articles may be unavailable.
Can I still place interlibrary loan requests?
Yes. Interlibrary loan will be unaffected by this catalog outage. To request an interlibrary loan go to http://libguides.marquette.edu/ill.
