Members of the public with a demonstrated and continuing research need can apply f
or a library courtesy card that will allow access to the library and 4 week check out privileges for
up to 10 books at any one time. (This card does not allow for off campus access to
online databases.) After the one year period, applicants must reapply. An
Annual Visitor Pass will be issued only after the potential user demonstrates a clear, continuing
research need. Applicants must submit this form as well as:
- Schedule a meeting with a relevant member of the Raynor Library Research and
Outreach Staff or an Archivist to describe project and review the Marquette collection's
ability to provide material.
- Present a letter on University letterhead signed by a faculty member, a letter
on corporate letterhead supporting the applicant's research needs, or other evidence of
scholarly activity to be given to the librarian at the scheduled meeting.
- Purchase an Annual Visitor Pass for $50.00 and an ID card for $5.00.
- Read, and comply with the Acceptable Computer Use Policy below:
Chat room, instant messaging, game playing, listening to music, and the viewing
of movies or pornographic sites are not valid uses of computer resources and are not
permitted. Violators will be banned from further access. Marquette students,
faculty, and staff have priority use of library resources. Visitors may be asked to
vacate computers at any time.
