Boolean Searching;b>
The new search interface uses a straight forward keyword search that automatically inserts the AND Boolean operator between all words entered.
No other search commands (e.g., OR, NEAR, ADJ, etc.) can be executed in the search box. Alternatively, users are asked to narrow the results after the search is completed by using the faceted results display.
Wildcard Characters;b>
Wildcard characters can be used in the search terms to expand the search results.
*;b> An asterisk (*') placed at the end of a word or partial word will search for multiple word endings, e.g. environ*;b> locates environ, environs, environment, environmental, etc.
?;b> A question mark placed within a word spelling variations, e.g. wom?n;b> locates woman and women.
