Offers complete electronic editions of more than 3,900 U.S. and global news sources, including newspapers, broadcast transcripts, newswires, video clips, and news blogs.  Provides extensive coverage with more than 200 million current and archived articles at local, regional, national and international levels.  Shortcut links are provided to “All Wisconsin News”, “Major Metro Titles”, and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Access NewspaperARCHIVE  from Newspaper Archive  

Provides historical coverage for over 2,000 newspaper titles.  Fully searchable are tens of millions of newspaper pages (in PDF) from the U.S., Canada, Denmark, Ireland, Jamaica, Japan, Germany, South Africa and the United Kingdom.  There are over 700 Wisconsin newspapers represented. Access NewspaperARCHIVE is a subset of NewspaperArchive.com. Coverage varies by title, however, some go back to the 1700’s.  Many of the titles cover the 1800’s and 1900’s.  Access to this database is funded by the State of Wisconsin and it is available only in Wisconsin.

Niles Register   from Accessible Archives

Extensive index of television news indexing more than 30,000 individual network evening news broadcasts from the major U.S. national broadcast networks: ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and Fox News and more than 9,000 hours of special news-related programming including ABC's Nightline since 1989.  Includes online streaming video of NBC newscasts from August 5, 1968 to the present and CNN news broadcasts beginning in 1995.  Current material will be made available 72 hours after originally broadcast.  Note: Requires free RealPlayer software to play video clips.
