Search Engine Watch Find out how the search engines work and how they compare to each other.  This site is a MUST if you wish to learn more about search engines! Search Engine Watch provides a free monthly newsletter to keep you up-to-date.  Includes comparison of the various features of each engine including index sizes of the major search enginesSearch engine tutorials and web searching tips are also included.  If you're looking for a particular type of search engine, take a look at Search Engine Watch's list of search links which includes a list of Speciality Search Engines.  This site is updated frequently and is an excellent source of timely information!

Search Engine Show Down This site is compiled and maintained by librarian, Greg Notess, and is another excellent source of information regarding web searching tools.  Provided is a search engine feature chart, sizes of the search engine indexes, as well as section reviewing the individual search engines and subject directories.  This is a definite must to consult if you are interested in Web searching tools!
