I am experiencing problems logging into Illiad What's
wrong?
- Are you using the correct username and format (as it appears in your emarq email address)?

If your email address is john.smith@marquette.edu your username would be john.smith
If your email address is john.q.adams@marquette.edu your username would be john.q.adams
If your email address is joan.jones-smith@marquette.edu your username would be joan.jones-smith |
- Are you using the same password you would use for emarq email or checkmarq?
- If you are still experiencing problems logging into ILLiad, AND you have your emarq
email forwarded to another email address, please log on directly to the emarq email system to
verify that your password has not changed.

How do I request a renewal?
A renewal can be requested for:
- Loans that do not have a renewal prohibition (NO RENEWALS) on the ILLiad label on the front
of the item.
- Loans which you have not previously received a renewal.
- Loans that are not overdue.
NOTE: Renewals cannot be requested more than seven
days before the loan’s due date.
To request a renewal:
- Logon on to your ILLiad account.
- From the ILLiad main menu, select the category labeled “View items that you have checked out
along with due dates and a method to renew your loan”. (GO).
- Select the (transaction) number in the “View/Edit” column that corresponds to the item you
wish to renew.
- Select “Request Renewal”.
You will receive an email confirmation when the Interlibrary Loan office has forwarded the renewal
request to the lending institution for consideration.

How do I view items delivered electronically?
- Logon to your ILLiad account.
- From the ILLiad main menu select the category labeled “View items that you have received
for web delivery” GO.
- Select the number in the “Transaction #” column that corresponds to the item you wish to view.
***PLEASE NOTE: ARTICLES ARE PURGED FROM THE WEBSERVER AFTER
30 DAYS!!!*** Be sure to either print the article or save a copy to your hard drive before the
30 days elapse.
You need to have Adobe Acrobat reader loaded on your computer. Download the free Acrobat
Reader.

How do I reactivate an electronic document after I have selected
"Request Finished"?
- Contact the Interlibrary Loan office with the transaction number (TN: #) at:

- You will receive an email notification when Interlibrary Loan has reactivated the access.

Why is this loan Library Use Only?
Loans are designated Library Use Only by the lending institution. We appreciate when
an institution is willing to loan materials for our patron use that are of a significant importance to their
collection, in fragile condition or valuable (irreplaceable). We MUST honor the lending
restrictions of these institutions. The Library Use Only rules are listed below.
- LIBRARY USE ONLY materials cannot be removed from the Raynor-Memorial Library.
- LIBRARY USE ONLY materials must be signed out before each use.
IF you have an assigned research carrel in the Memorial Library, you may obtain permission
to keep library use only materials in your carrel. You must contact the Interlibrary Loan
office at 288-7257 or email: mumemill@marquette.edu
to obtain prior permission. This must be done on a case-by-case basis.
When returning LIBRARY USE ONLY materials to the Raynor Circulation Desk indicate whether
additional use of the material is required or sign the “completed” section of the In Library Use Only
form.

Cancellation Reasons |
| Digital Dissertations
IF you have received the Marquette Interlibrary Loan Digital Dissertations email:
- The title requested has been reviewed and is available online. Refer to the steps below.
- Access the Library Homepage at: http://www.marquette.edu/library/index.html
- Search by: Title for: Digital Dissertations
- CONNECT to Digital Dissertations database.
- Basic Search: the author or title of the requested dissertation.
If you have problems accessing the online version, contact the Information Desk at 288-7556. |

| Storage
IF you have received the Marquette Storage Collections email cancellation for an article request:
- The journal has been pulled and placed on HOLD in YOUR NAME at the Raynor Library Circulation
Desk.
- It will remain on HOLD for seven (7) business days from the date of the email cancellation.
- In the future, please request Storage items directly from the Circulation Desk or by filling out
the storage retrieval form.
