Both Raynor and Memorial Library provide basic
self-service photocopiers/printers. These copier/printers are designed to provide decent copies of
class notes, Class Reserve material, and periodical articles. CHECK the quality of your first copy
before proceeding with large projects. If " perfect" copies are needed for projects like
a resumé, use of a commercial photocopier service is advised.
Location of Photocopiers
Photocopier/printers in Raynor Library are located on the lower level (next to the Class Reserve /
Media Services Desk), on the first level, and on the second level near the current periodicals and
computer area. There are two VTS units located on level one of Raynor Library.
There is a color photocopier/printer located on the first level of Raynor behind the Information
Desk.
In Memorial Library photocopier/printers are located near the Bridge Circulation Desk on the second
level and on the lower level near the bound periodicals (near the East and West elevators). A VTS
unit is located near the Bridge Circulation Desk on the second level.
Cost of Photocopies
All of the photocopier/printers use the Marquette Cash account on a Marquette ID or Marquette
Courtesy Card. The cost per copy is 7 cents each for monochrome (black/white) copies/prints and 50
cents for color copies/prints.
Marquette Cash Account
Marquette Cash is a debit account available on the Marquette ID card. That account is accessed
through the magnetic stripe on the back of the card As copies are made, the account balance is
debited. That same account can also be used at numerous sites across campus such as the various
food services or vending and laundry machines.
Visitors to campus can purchase a Marquette Courtesy Card from the VTS machines in either of the
libraries. The visitor's card can be purchased for $1.00, $5.00, $10.00 or $20.00 with 75 cents
paying for the card and the remainder available for use in the copiers. Visitors should store the
9 digit number printed on the front of the card; without that number, lost cards cannot be returned to their
owners.
- Adding value to the Marquette Cash account
Additional value can be added to the Marquette Cash account at any time in $1.00, $5.00, $10.00 or
$20.00 increments. Use the VTS machines located in the libraries to add value to the card.
Follow the instructions on the screen or ask for assistance at the Circulation Desk. Always request
a receipt; the Marquette Card Office can resolve problems with your Marquette Cash account more
quickly if you have receipts.
- Using the card in the Photocopiers
The photocopiers are equipped with a magstripe reader. Swipe the card through the reader to
activate the copier.
- Determining the balance in your Marquette Cash account
To determine the balance in your Marquette Cash account, use a VTS machine. Follow the
instructions for checking the balance or ask for assistance at the Circulation Desk.
- Lost or Damaged cards
Marquette students and staff should report lost or damaged cards to the Marquette Card
Office at 288-3770 as soon as possible. The Marquette Card Office is located on the 1st
floor of the Alumni Memorial Union. The hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday
and 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday. If lost visitor cards are found in the libraries, the
card holder can reclaim them at the Circulation Desk by providing the 9 digit number printed on the
front of the card. Damaged visitor cards will require the purchase of another card.
