A Marquette education puts students in touch with the world

Dr. Cesar Gonzalez, D.D.S., M.S., and Dr. Darlene Weis, associate professor emeritus of nursing, proved Marquette’s global reach. Working with 34 Milwaukee-area doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists and nutritionists, they brought health care services to families in the republics of Georgia and Armenia. For this work they received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from the U.S. Agency for International Development.
