Group meetings in dorm rooms? That's so passé. Previously a classroom and an instructional media center, Johnston Hall's new student lounge has everything you need — big plasma screens to plug your Macs into and, more important, couches.

"I'm shocked my entry was selected," says Jodi Denk, Comm '12,  proud winner of the J. William and Mary Diederich College of Communication's month-long naming competition for the lounge. "Since my dad came up with the idea, I'd probably have to give the iPad (I won) to him!"

Donor Jerry Buldak, Jour '66, says he's happy to see the lounge become a reality.

"I was fortunate to have a donor help me complete my education at Marquette," Buldak says. "So when (Dean) Lori Bergen mentioned the student lounge, I thought, well, it's payback time."

And in case you're wondering, it's j for Johnston, Jerry, Jodi and journalism.
