Margaret R. Hermes, Arts ’70, had her story “Transubstantiation” selected for inclusion in the anthology 20 Over 40, in which 20 seasoned authors explore the perils and satisfactions of midlife.
1971
Thomas J. Winninger, Sp ’71, was ordained a deacon for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis during a Mass in September at the Cathedral of St. Paul.

Kathleen A. Gray, Arts ’72, Law ’82, was recognized as a Wisconsin Super Lawyer for 2006 by Law & Politics magazine.

Dr. Kathleen (Schleif) Roth, Dent ’74, was installed as president of the American Dental Association during a meeting of the House of Delegates in Las Vegas. She practices general dentistry in West Bend, Wis.
1975
Dr. Dennis W. Engel, Dent ’75, assumed the editorship of the Wisconsin section of the International College of Dentists e-newsletter. He also was elected to a third term as editor of the monthly Wisconsin Dental Association Journal.
Dr. Jeffrey R. Jones, Dent ’75, joined the International College of Dentists, an organization that recognizes dedication to advancing dentistry internationally for the health and welfare of the public. He is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Eau Claire, Wis.

Stanley R. Korducki, Bus Ad ’76, Grad ’79, is president and CEO of Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, Ohio. He also is an officer with the Bowling Green Community Development Foundation.

Terence J. Uhl, Jour ’78, executive vice president of Landau Public Relations, received the Morrie Sayre Founder’s Award for Outstanding Volunteerism.

Melaine (Shannon) Rothey, Arts ’79, a shareholder with the law firm of Raphael, Ramsden & Behers P.C., received the Pennsylvania Bar Association 2006 Legal Services to the Public Committee Pro Bono Award.
