Ruth (Sponner) Wright, Arts ’50, wrote Machu Picchu Guidebook: A Self-guided Tour. She and her husband received the Order of Merit for Distinguished Services from the Peruvian government for contributions to the cultural patrimony of Peru.
1951
Margaret (Finucan) Fennig, Dent Hy ’51 ’53, Grad ’79, presented the first Peg Fennig Award when Alpha Sigma Nu hosted its Triennial Conference at Canisius College. The award is given to a member with outstanding dedication, enthusiasm, wisdom and commitment.
1952 Reunion Year
Quincy B. Dadisman, Jour ’52, (deceased) was inducted into the Milwaukee Press Club Hall of Fame in recognition of 28 years as an award-winning editor and reporter for the Milwaukee Sentinel, where he specialized in covering environmental issues.
Ronald J. Baldwin, Jour ’56, published the historical novel The Last Crossing: Black Hawk’s Fight Against the United States.

William R. Drew, Arts ’58, Law ’66, was elected president of the Milwaukee Retirees Association. He also serves as executive director of the Milwaukee County Research Park Corp. and as counsel to the law firm of O’Neil, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong SC.
