The heartbreaking tragedy at Virginia Tech this past spring reminds us that no college or university exists in a bubble. Certainly our thoughts and prayers are with the students, faculty and staff of that university as they continue to seek healing after their horrendous ordeal.

Jottings: Forgiveness
Forgiving others is one of the fundamental components of Christian life. It is also challenging. Forgiveness is not pretending that some injury didn't happen, that no one betrayed a trusy, broke a relationship, or acted unjustly. Forgiveness acknowledges the reality of offenses but denies them the power to rule the future.
