1990

Michael C. Trudgeon, Arts ’90, Law ’03, opened his own law practice, Trudgeon Law Office, in Beloit, Wis. He is a general practice attorney with a primary focus on estate planning.

1992 Reunion Year

Jennifer (Liethen) Kunka, Arts ’92, Grad ’95, received the Award for Excellence in Service from Francis Marion University. She is an assistant professor of English and director of the writing center.

Rev. David I. Quitugua, Grad ’92, was promoted to monsignor in the Archdiocese of Agana, Guam.

Vanessa L. Varriale-Oien, Arts ’92, owns and operates Vitner’s Cellar & Winery, a microwinery in Libertyville, Ill. Customers may buy wine or get involved in the wine-making process to create a particular taste.

1993

James W. Bendt, Comm ’93, was named to Minnesota’s top 40 under 40 business people by the Minneapolis/St.Paul Business Journal. He was selected from 321 nominees for his excellence in the advertising field and his dedication to community service.

Fernando S. Ereneta, Bus Ad ’93, was named senior vice president of wealth management at Smith Barney in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. He specializes in working with doctors and senior executives in or near retirement. He, his wife, Margaret, Comm ’93, and their four children live in Lisle, Ill.

Lt. Mark S. Twombly, Arts ’93, graduated from the 217th class of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff & Command. He is with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office in Madison, Wis., as the 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. shift commander.

1994

Michael D. Cicchini, Grad ’94, Law ’99, a criminal defense attorney, published “Confrontation After Crawford vs. Washington: Defining Testimonial” on the confrontation clause of the U.S. Constitution in the Lewis & Clark Law Review.

1995

Dr. Chan D. Tran, Dent ’95, was elected membership chair of the Greater Milwaukee Dental Association.

Donna R. Hiers, Eng ’95, won the certified information security systems professional credential from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium. She earned her master of health care technologies management degree, a joint program offered by Marquette and the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Lourdes S. Gardinier, Arts ’95, teaches first grade in the Catholic Cathedral choir school in Salt Lake City.

Cameron A. Reid, Bus Ad ’95, joined the Milwaukee office of Wipfli LLP, a CPA and consulting firm, as a senior consultant with the firm’s health care practice. He previously worked as a managing consultant for Greenbrier & Russel in Milwaukee.

1996

Colleen (Carroll) Campbell, Arts ’96, is hosting the national television show Faith & Culture on the Eternal Word Television Network. The show discusses the day’s political and cultural debates from a Christian perspective.

Kate (Bruns) Gilson, Arts ’96, Dent ’99, was selected to a four-year term with the American Dental Association, representing new dentists in Wisconsin and Michigan.

Dr. John L. Olsen, Arts ’96, earned a medical degree at State University of New York at Stony Point. He is a resident at the University of Utah Medical School in Salt Lake City.

Aaron W. Pulley, Comm ’96, joined WLUM Radio in Milwaukee as local sales manager with responsibilities for generating station revenue, implementing sales strategies, and developing the sales force.

1997 Reunion Year

Kathleen Kraninger, Arts ’97, was named the director of the Department of Homeland Security Screening Coordination Office. Previously, she worked as a senior staffer on the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.

1998

James V. Corrigan, Bus Ad ’98, joined Navigant Consulting Inc. as associate director in the New York office, responsible for business development in the financial services practice.

1999

Nicholas P. Frank, Bus Ad ’99, participated in the Lake Placid Ironman competition. He finished fifth in his age group and 44th overall in a field of more than 2,100 competitors.

Gina M. Pongetti, Comm ’99, H Sci ’02, is a clinician owner with Occusport Physical Therapy in Darien, Ill. She leads a performing arts health care program in addition to treating triathletes and marathon runners.
