IN MEMORIAM

The Marquette University community joins in prayerful remembrance of those who have died. May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Eternal rest grant unto them, Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.

Remembering

Called to serve

Capt. Paul Jablonski earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history at Marquette, but he found his professional calling as an officer in the Department of Public Safety, where he served for 23 years. Jablonski, Arts ’85, worked his way up through the ranks from residence hall officer to one of two captains and contributed his expertise and eye for detail to important initiatives, including redeveloping the Avenues West Police Substation on 21st and W. Wells St. He died in October, leaving behind his mother, Marion, Arts ’48, and nine sisters and brothers. His father, Louis, was a Marquette professor from 1946 to 1979.
