Marquette University through the auspices of the Manresa Project and the College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a ten member student delegation to attend a national student conference June 20-22, 2008 at Fordham University “Engaging Students in Humanitarian Action” sponsored by the Jesuit Universities Humanitarian Aid Network (JUHAN).   Topics include global issues from every continent, skill building, and a range of workshops including health, nutrition, water, education, and migration.

Applications are due April 30 at the Manresa office, 707 N. 11th Street, Room 332. Applicants who wish to be considered for funding assistance from Manresa for conference fees and /or transportation need to include a 1-2 page essay delineating why you would be a strong representative from the Marquette student community for this event and how you might share your experience with other students in the fall semester.
