
The Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science congratulates Dr. John C. Moyer the recipient of the 2012 John P. Raynor, S.J. Faculty Teaching Award for Teaching Excellence, Marquette's University's pre-eminent teaching award.
WeiqiangWang, a student in the M.S. in Computing program, was recognized in a list of students who completed the Part 2 challenge of the 2011 IBM Master the Mainframe Contest. MSCS hosted the fall 2011 Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Management Systems (CPHIMS) Study Group of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS). HIMSS sponsors education for healthcare information technology professionals. Marquette’s location as a venue was notable because it was the first time an educational institution has been selected to host this event.
Dr. Paul Bankston, who recently celebrated 30 years of service to the Marquette community, has been conferred the status of Professor Emeritus. Dr. Karl Byleen has been conferred the status of Associate Professor Emeritus which will take effect upon his full retirement from Marquette. This promotion recognizes the high quality of their academic career achievements.
