Hello, everyone! My name is Jimmy, and I am majoring in international affairs with minors in both Spanish and business administration. When I was deciding on schools, I toured 12 different places on the East Coast, where I lived, and in the Midwest, and Marquette was the only one I applied to. It felt like home to me right away when I stepped on campus, and that has proven so true that my parents are actually moving to Milwaukee this fall! On campus, I do a lot with intramural sports, Campus Ministry, and the big service days on campus. Hope I can give you a taste of all of the amazing things going on at Marquette!
My family currently lives in West Point, New York, where I have lived for six years, but I have moved 11 times in my life.
In high school, I played soccer and tennis, but have always had a love for Ultimate Frisbee. I have never lost an intramural Frisbee game in my college career (knock on wood).
I work two campus jobs: driving a LIMO safety van and being a tour guide. Two jobs might sound like a lot of hours, but the people are so great, it hardly feels like work.
I am a HUGE sports fan and love going to Brewers, Bucks, and Marquette games with my friends. Marquette games are obviously the most fun.
In my very rare down time, I love to read, listen to music and podcasts, and roast my roommates in FIFA.
I love to cook, and am always experimenting around in the kitchen. My spaghetti pie, homemade pot-stickers, and burrito rolling skills are my culinary claims to fame.
I spent the spring of 2016 abroad in Madrid, Spain, and have a love of traveling. I went to Budapest and Brussels for spring break in 2017 and hope to travel to Italy this coming spring break!
This semester, I am interning for an Urban Development nonprofit called the Near West Side Partners. Being in the city of Milwaukee has allowed me to have multiple internship opportunities and is an awesome aspect of going to MU.
