Hi! I’m Melissa Gorman; I am a senior in Marquette University’s College of Health Sciences. My major is biomedical sciences, but I am also in my first year of our graduate-level Physician Assistant program. I love traveling, exploring new places in Milwaukee, spending time with my family and friends, cooking, bike rides, and Kopp's custard! To give you a better idea, here are ten things to know about me:
I have a passion for working with and helping people, a passion that fuels my desire to become a PA.
If you follow me around for a few hours, you’re bound to catch me shamelessly singing or dancing...or probably both.
Kopp's custard is one of my guilty pleasures. If the flavor of the day is tiramisu or grasshopper fudge, chances are I’m making the trip.
When I’m in the mood to get off campus, one of my favorite things to do is walk down to the lakefront.
Coffee makes me the Energizer bunny...but I do LOVE tea! I’ve been known to make several cups a day during the Milwaukee winters, but we don’t have to disclose that number here.
I love cooking and baking! My friends and family don’t seem to mind this hobby too much either.
I have an adorable little puppy who enjoys long walks, hiding my brother’s socks, cuddling, and barking at every squirrel that has roamed this earth. He’s not sure how to feel about the snow yet.
As a senior looking back over the last few years, choosing Marquette University is one of the greatest decisions I’ve made. I can talk about this wonderful place for hours. It’s more than just a school—Marquette is a home and a family, opening doors to greater things and challenging us to be the best people that we can be. We Are Marquette!
