Marquette.edu // My Marquette //
Hey, everyone! My name is Sarah, and I am a junior here at Marquette majoring in secondary education, math, and English. I first toured Marquette five years ago and fell in love with the city, the people, and the feeling of Marquette, and let me tell you, I haven’t stopped falling in love with it since.
I am from St. Louis, Missouri, the Gateway to the West, home of the St. Louis Cardinals and recently divorced from the LA Rams.
Last semester I studied abroad in Galway, Ireland, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life.
I love ice cream. I have a minimum of one bowl of ice cream each day, and if you ask my roommates, our freezer contains mostly ice cream.
I love watching and talking about movies. I have no idea what my favorite movie is, but I can quote the entirety of Lord of the Rings so I have that at least.
I am a tour guide at Marquette, and I can honestly say it is the best job I have ever had.
I am part of the STAR program (Students Taking Active Roles) and a leader for Orientation Staff, which both involve working with incoming freshmen. I am also heavily involved in AWM (Association for Women in Mathematics).
