1. Deadline for centennial brunch online registration is Friday

The year-long Centennial Celebration of Women at Marquette will culminate with a Women’s Centennial Brunch at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 25, in the AMU Monaghan Ballroom in conjunction with Alumni Reunion Weekend. President Robert A. Wild, S.J., will speak at the brunch on the legacy the celebration has created and the university’s reinvigorated commitment to providing access to higher education for all deserving students. The brunch is open to the Marquette community. Register online by Friday, July 16. Cost is $20 per person.

A 9 a.m. Mass at Church of the Gesu will precede the brunch. Rev. Fred Zagone, S.J., assistant to the vice president in university advancement, will be the celebrant.

2. Human fertility conference hosted by College of Nursing this week

The College of Nursing’s Institute for Natural Family Planning will host “Human Fertility—Where Faith and Science Meet,” July 15 to 17, at the Intercontinental Hotel, 139 East Kilbourn Ave., Milwaukee.

The mission of the conference is to promote research on the science of Natural Family Planning and academic thinking about the Catholic Church’s teachings on human sexuality, marriage and family life.

This academic conference is offered every four years and is co-sponsored by the Bishops’ Committee for Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth and:

4. Student events requested for Campus Connection by July 16

The Office of Student Development is soliciting event articles for its Campus Connection publication. Campus Connection is published at the beginning of each semester, highlighting university events for students. In fall it is distributed to all first-year students and their parents as well as various campus departments.

Student organizations that would like to provide event information for the fall issue should send the information to Jennifer Reid, student affairs communication director, in AMU 121 by Friday, July 16.
