University mourns the loss of Sonia Zilvitis, prayer service at 1 p.m. tomorrow

The university mourns the loss of Mireille (Sonia) Zilvitis, help desk analyst in Information Technology Services, who passed away unexpectedly Oct. 30. Sonia touched the lives of many people across Marquette's campus with her unique way of handling Help Desk calls, her dedication to providing personalized service and her passion for helping everyone. Sonia leaves behind her husband, Chris Zilvitis, a Marquette alumnus, and her four-year-old daughter, Rosalie. A memorial fund has been established in Sonia's name to support her family during this difficult time.

The Office of Mission and Ministry, the Faber Center for Ignatian Spirituality, and Campus Ministry will host a memorial prayer service for Sonia tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 31, at 1 p.m. in the AMU, Chapel of the Holy Family. The Marquette community is welcome to gather and remember Sonia in prayer.
