Building a Culture of Life through Natural Family Planning A NFP Gathering Day for Health Professionals June 23, 2007

Purpose of Gathering Day:

Assist participants with the integration of NFP into their practice by providing theoretical, anecdotal and evidence based knowledge for the provision of Professional holistic natural family planning (NFP) services.

Target audience:

Health professionals (ie. professional nurses, physicians, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, health promotion educators) NFP teachers and moral theologians interested in NFP.   Students welcome!

Objectives:  At the end of the day the participants will:

  1. Contribute ideas on how the Catholic Medical Association could promote evidence-based health services that respect the dignity of women.  
  2. Understand the religious influence in contraceptive decision making among US Catholic women.
  3. Differentiate the effectiveness of multiple natural biological markers of fertility as a means of family planning.
  4. Analyze management problems in the provision of professional NFP health services through a case study presentation format, and
  5. Review and critique online continuing education NFP teacher training program for health professionals.

Continuing Education
5.25 CMEs will be awarded to eligible participants who attend the entire conference.

5.25 contact hours for continuing nursing education credit has been applied for.
