READI Study

Specialization
Nursing Administration, Health Care Systems Leadership

Highest Degree
Ph.D., University of Michigan

Brief Statement of Scholarly Interests
My program of research broadly focuses on the value of Registered Nurses in providing safe, high quality care and the effects on patient outcomes.  RNs provide much of the health care in the US, but have received little recognition for nursing’s contribution to excellent patient outcomes.  The READI study considers the effects of the nurse work environment in contributing to decreasing 30 day readmissions from acute care hospitals.
