Marquette Neighborhood Health Center
All advanced practice nurses (nurse practitioners, or N.P.s) at MNHC have Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescribers licenses, which allow them to prescribe medication. They also hold national certification in their specialties, advanced degrees in nursing, Drug Enforcement Administration licensure and credentialing with insurances that MNHC accepts.

In addition, MNHC's professional staff — R.N.s and N.P.s — participate in the educational and clinical experience of Marquette undergraduate and graduate students.


Campbell

Kelly S. Campbell MSN, ANP-BC, CCM

Kelly is the director of the health center joining other nurse practitioners in June 2011. She has extensive experience in nurse management. Her clinical experiences include acute home care, hospice care and case management activities. Kelly takes a special interest in pain management and palliative care. As an adult nurse practitioner, Kelly sees patients from age 18 and older providing care for chronic and acute illnesses. She enjoys seeing overall patient health improvement as patients make lifestyle changes based on providing evidenced based care.


Albert


Kathlyn Albert, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, CNM, APNP

Before joining MNHC Kathlyn worked in Milwaukee caring for women & children of our community. The areas of research Kathlyn is particularly interested in are group prenatal care, breastfeeding, & issues relating to Maternal and Child Health. She has served on the Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families taskforce in Milwaukee to improve health care for African American women to reduce disparities in infant mortality.

Dalvery Blackwell, BS, IBCLC     

Dalvery has been helping mothers and families with breastfeeding support since 2007.  She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and the co-founder and program manager of the African American Breastfeeding Network of Milwaukee (AABN).  For four years, she has been working as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for the WIC program. She does telephone counseling, home and hospital visitation, and conducts classes  to increase breastfeeding confidence and awareness.


Champange


Heather Champagne RN, Case Manager

Heather is a Registered Nurse with a passion for providing preventative health care to patients of all ages. She provides Prenatal Care Coordination services, including health and nutrition education, to help pregnant women have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. She also provides individual case-management to connect patients to various resources in our community.


Kristin Haglund, PhD, FNP, PNP, BC, APNP

Dr. Kristin Haglund, FNP, PNP, BC, APNP

Kristin is certified in family practice and pediatrics and provides care for males and females of all ages. As an associate professor in the College of Nursing, she teaches undergraduate and graduate students. Her research is focused around adolescence and sexual abstinence.

Kristin was appointed as a U.S.-U.K. Fulbright Scholar in England in 2011.

Dr. Norah Johnson, PHD, RN, CPNP

Norah is certified in pediatrics and provides care for males and females up to age 21 years. As an assistant professor in the College of Nursing, she teaches undergraduate and graduate students. Her research is focused around children with autism.

 


Martin


LuVerda Martin, MSN, CNM, APNP

LuVerda has been a Certified Nurse-Midwife since 2000 and has worked in obstetrics for over 20 years. LuVerda provides the full scope of midwifery services for women of childbearing age with an emphasis on obstetric services. Her areas of research interest are adolescent pregnancy and STD prevention.  LuVerda has worked in hospital based, academic focused and community settings.


Virgo

Nichole Virgo, MSN, CNM

Nichole is a certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) providing a full scope of midwifery services including general women's health and obstetrical care. She provides care for women throughout the life span and partners with her clients to provide the care needed. She promotes parenting skills among her clients to positively impact the health and well-being of their families. Nichole offers a general working knowledge of Spanish to help her Spanish-speaking clients.

 

Hannah Wolfe, RN

Hannah is a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Adult Nursing Student at Marquette University with an expected graduation date of Spring 2014. Before coming to Marquette, she worked as a Registered Nurse for Milwaukee Public Schools and at St. Francis Hospital on the Behavioral Health and Labor and Delivery Unit.  She offers individualized case management services for our chronically ill patients.  She enjoys working with patients to promote healthy lifestyle changes to improve quality of life.
