Temporary Housing Upon Arrival

A limited number of guest rooms in a university residence hall have been reserved for new international students as needed from August 8-20, 2008. The rooms are to provide temporary accommodations while students arrange for permanent housing or for undergraduate students who will move into their permanent residence hall rooms on August 20. Depending upon the number of student requests, two students may be assigned to each room. The cost is approximately $15 per night.

If you want temporary housing, you must submit the Arrival Information Form in advance and receive a written confirmation of your housing reservation.

If your family members will accompany you to Marquette, we recommend that you make reservations directly with a local hotel as soon as possible. There are many cultural events in Milwaukee, and sometimes hotels become filled. Here is more information about hotels in downtown Milwaukee and other travel information.

Permanent Housing during the Academic Year

Undergraduate students who have submitted an application for a university residence hall for the fall semester may move into their residence hall rooms on Wednesday, August 20.

Exchange students who have been assigned housing in Campus Town Apartments may move into their assigned apartments on or after August 8.

Students who wish to live in apartments on or near the campus should plan to arrive early enough to locate satisfactory accommodations. The Office of University Apartments and Off-Campus Student Services can help you begin your search for an apartment. You may contact the office via e-mail or with the link below.
