At the beginning of their time at Marquette, students are invited to participate in the Marquette International Friendship Program.  If they decide to participate, they are matched with a community member for the year. 

As an important part of the program, and in order to make the friendship work, students are responsible for responding promptly to phone calls or emails from their matched community member.  They are also responsible for upholding commitments they have made to meet with their community friends or providing adequate notice if they cannot be present.
